What made you choose our company:

I contracted to have a 24 Kw Generac whole home generator installed at my home by Grand Bay Electric / East End Plumbing. My initial contact was with Matt Cheslek who was prompt, courteous, and well informed about Generac ans Kohler generators. After explaining the differences between the two lines, I ultimately decided to go with the Generac model. He was very clear about educating me how to contact the correct department at DTE in order to have a larger capacity gas meter installed at my home. (Unfortunately DTE would not accommodate my request to have the meter installed before the electricians and plumbers came to install my generator. I was informed that this is not an uncommon occurrence!) I was contacted several days before installation day to confirm the time and advised that we would be without electrical power for about 6 hours on installation day. The electrician, Kevin Hawkins and his assistant Charlie arrived on time and moved the generator in to the previously agreed to location and shortly afterward, the plumbers arrived. While the electricians were installing the the the transfer switch, various other hardware, and running the underground power cables to the generator, the plumbers were installing the underground gas line. All of the crew seemed to be well organized, got along with each other, and were willing to answer any and all questions. The electrician, Kevin, was very careful not to track anything into our home when he made several trips to our inside breaker panel to make some additional wiring changes. At the end of the day, all extra material and debris was cleaned up and the plumbers made a point to advise me that they would be back in two days to complete the gas hookup to the new meter which was scheduled to be installed the next day. As previously agreed to, the plumbers returned two days later and completed the gas hookup. They started the generator up and educated me about it's operation, maintenance, and encouraged me to call if there were any questions or issues with my new generator. I decided to contract with Grand Bay Electric / East End Plumbing after talking with other people in my neighborhood who had generators installed by them and gave great reviews. I am happy to add my name to the list of well satisfied customers. It was a pleasure working with a first class company!
